Are you a local photographer? Help us celebrate the Pine Creek Rail Trail being named “Trail of the Year” while honoring the very roots of our art center! The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is looking for stunning photography that captures the spirit, wildlife, landscapes, and community along the trail.

Our founder, Arthur Gmeiner, loved painting landscapes and dreamed of cultivating a thriving arts community in our region. To honor his vision, this exhibition will showcase some of his classic landscape paintings alongside modern photography of our area’s most famous outdoor trail—celebrating how the love of regional landscapes connects artists across generations.

The deadline for entry submissions is Saturday, August 15th by 5pm.Our primary goal is to showcase the immense talent within our local clubs and regional photographers please submit your work by the deadline to ensure our local Gmeiner club gets representation!

This celebratory exhibition will take place in two distinct phases. For the entire month of September (September 1–30), selected photographs will be featured in a unique pop-up exhibit at the Patterson Trailhead building to kick off the month-long regional celebration. Following the trailside display, the show will move indoors to the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center, where it will be showcased as a celebratory feature in the Atrium Gallery throughout the month of October.

Photographers are encouraged to submit images that capture the unique spirit, seasonal landscapes, diverse wildlife, and vibrant community life along the historic Pine Creek Rail Trail.

Complete submission guidelines are attached. Questions may be directed to Gmeiner Director Melina Moyer at director@gmeinerartculturalcenter.org.
